The SEGA Girls School
This is a residential secondary school for bright, motivated Tanzanian girls who otherwise are unable to attend school due to extreme poverty and are at risk of becoming involved in exploitative forms of child labor.
Nurturing Minds provide a high-quality education that fosters the development of strong values, healthy self-esteem and independent thinking skills. Our intention is to empower the SEGA students to effect change for themselves, their families and – ultimately – their communities.
Participants of this adventure trip visit the school and have the opportunity to meet and interact with the students. The school visit is on Sunday when the girls are not in classes. On Monday, the group sets out for a local hike. Participants stay at Nashera Hotel, which offers Western-style, comfortable lodging facilities.
